Welcome to the Colorado Libraries NOW! portal.

This site was created in November, 2011 by Ed Sadowski, Reference and Instruction Librarian, Arapahoe Community College, Littleton.

After bookmarking many websites in the seemingly endless job of staying on top of all things library-related, it occurred to him that a Colorado-centric portal would also serve to bring together the diverse universe of Colorado and national library sites in an easily accessible manner on topics far and wide.

Although the CAL and CSL sites do an admirable job of organizing many library-related resources, the intent here is to add an additional point of entry for resources of interest to librarians, capturing an even wider array of stuff that librarians can locate and even discover from a single convenient spot.

In the spirit of colalborative and interdisciplinary openness and inquiry, because librarianship, as all professions and disciplines, cannot grow and thrive to the fullest in self-contained isolation from the world's entire knowledge base, all types of libraries and topics and resources will be embraced in this site.

If we define portal as a single place from which to go to many places, then I hope this site will in great part fulfill that purpose.
